Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,470 - $2,540 per week
Labor & Delivery RN Job Details
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
- Location: Cambridge, MA 02138 (Boston metro area)
- Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit
- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- End Date: December 27, 2025
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights, weekends included)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Previous travel nursing or locum tenens RN experience required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Flu vaccine required for new staff starting September 2; current staff must be vaccinated by December 1 (no declinations accepted)
- Local candidates not accepted
- Cannot have worked perm/travel/PRN for any Beth Israel facility within the past 6 months
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery
- Assist with patient admissions, assessments, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
